Rob Ryan is a British paper cutting artist, born in 5th November, 1962. He specializes in paper-cutting (which practically made him famous), screen-printing, drawing and painting. He comes from a Irish family of five, his parents being Doris & Buddy Ryan and his two older brothers. He graduated with a “Master of Art” in screen-printing from the Royal College of Art in 1987, and also studied at Trent Polytechnic.

Ryan had once collaborated with fashion designer Paul Smith with desighing a dress for fashion magazines Vouge, Elle and Stylist.

So far in his career Rob Ryan has illustrated for books and albom covers for arthurs and music artists such as Dara Horn and Erasure, but the Ryan’s first book to be published on 4th October in 2007, “This is for You”, which he used fairy tales to explore the themes of loneliness and love.

For the charity, Trocaire, Rob Ryan create the Global Gift greeting card.

He currently living with his wife and two daughters in London.
